"Shanklin was perhaps the lovliest village on the Ilse of Wight and the inhabitants were like one large family. Ill nature was not known among them, obliging in the extreme, they seemed to be happiest when their visitors were best pleased". A quote from Hassell circa 1940's.
Apart from its wonderful location which speaks for itself once you have taken in the fabulous views available from many of its rooms, you will realise that the Cliff Hall has a convenient central location. Within walking distance from the beach, Shanklin new town and the famous Shanklin old village. The local bus stops, which enables you to reach all parts of the Island, are a five minute walk.
The building is central to many eateries/restaurants and therefore will not serve food every night due to its central location. However, our guests always come first and we are happy to help with restaurant reservations. Apart from our 'hearty' breakfasts we serve a lunch menu until 4.00 pm in the busy summer months and a dining option is available in September.
