Built in 1854, for an Admiral, retaining many original features
this hotel is traditional and family run with a varied range of
accommodation from stunning new junior suites to comfortable budget
rooms. Plenty of on site
parking and close to bus stops the hotel’s location is ideal.
Situated on the cliff path, affording its fantastic sea views,
within easy reach is the beach, Shanklin new and historic old towns and
the coastline feature the ‘Shanklin Chine’.
Shanklin Theatre host great performances throughout the year and is in
within walking distance of the hotel.
The hotel has been recently graded as one of the Isle’s first
metro hotels indicating its central location to many eateries, pubs and
restaurants, food therefore, will not be
served daily, especially out of high season.
NEW FOR 2013/2014. The hotel is proud to announce that it has also
achieved a grading of a level M1 , Under the National Accessible Scheme.
This means that some rooms are suitable for a person with sufficient
mobility to climb a flight of steps but who would benefit from fixtures
and fittings to aid balance. Some rooms are also wheelchair friendly.

We cater for children of all ages. In the large
bar/ conservatory area there is a games cupboard. This has puzzles,
cards, dominos and a selection of board games for the younger
children. There is a TV area and a large outside sun terrace and
games area, which is beautifully secluded and a real sun trap. The
garden has a selection of garden furniture and loungers for relaxing
or dining outside. Our well equipped bar will entice you to have an
early evening drink and take in the outstanding sea views.
